I joined the lads on the London leg of their tour on the 7th of December, and boy was it a madness. I've been joking with Manga for a while now about stage diving with him , and I honestly had full intention of doing so, but bottled out last minute. I didn't fancy hitting head first on the concrete!
The vibes were off the chain - Astroid Boys have a solid supporter base who do everything but hold back - and that's the way it should be. From the minute I walked into the Borderline just behind Tottenham Court Rd, the crowd set pace, and to be honest, it's one of the best gigs i've been to out of the whole of 2016. Backstage, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming and it was all about enjoying with family and close ones. Now, while performance photography isn't my forte, I grabbed a couple moments of the night - and i'm so glad I did.
As Traxx said a few years back, "Astroid Boys is a base for kids that ain't rich, that wanna stage dive and act wild it is what it is". So i'll try this stage dive ting next time, and in all honesty, if you complete 2017 without seeing Astroid Boys and even Manga & Neverland Clan live, I duno.
Thank you so much for having me. Big Love.
