Makesa - Reflector Tests
Shot Makesa on a freezing (!) morning in London. Using the back of the warehouses in Manor House as the location, I tested out my Neewer reflector with natural light (Kay was the ever-graceful assistant and motivator). As I shoot more and more, I realise how much of a difference it makes for me to have a deep connection with my subject. The ease as which we interact and move in each other's spaces feels so much more fluid, and the process is delicate, intimate and a language without words.
The day was extremely cloudy so the effect with the reflector was subtle, although using the gold side created lovely warmer tones that highlighted Kesa's face. The fun was full of laughter but quick, as my fingers were frozen to the core! I live for the days I can shoot in warmer climates.
