Witnessing your friends grow and then being able to join in on the journey is a beautiful thing, and last night, I saw not one, but a handful of the talented individuals around me take to the stage at Oslo in Hackney. Along with Sury (guitar), Junior (drums), Nathan (bass), Zulu (vocals) and Micheal (keys & MD), Kojey Radical smashed his first sold out headline show of the year. If that ain't a start to 2016, I don't know what is.
The show was an electrifying set of energy and intellect, nourishing the growing consciously creative generation. Kojey was joined by female Krump trio Sannchia, Genesis and Claire as Open Hand closed, challenging gender, genre and creative constructs through movement and music. Shout out Chelsea Bravo for the wickedest two piece , and all praise to the Boss Khadijah for managing the night - this is one lady that keeps everything in check. Have a look at my brief capture of the night below.
